Farage fires Boris warning as Brexit Party army refuses to back off despite losing power

Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage insisted his Brexit Party will still hold Prime Minister Boris Johnson to account after Brexit. Mr Farage argued he and others of the Brexit Party will continue to criticise Boris Johnson when he is getting things wrong for Britain. He added if the Prime Minister drops the ball as Theresa May did, his party will be there to pick it up.

While on the BBC Radio 4’s Today programme Mr Farage said: “Well Nick, the Brexit Party was only launched in April last year.

“Rest assured the Brexit Party will be there.

“Through the course of the next year, we will praise Boris Johnson when we think he is getting it right.

“We will criticise him when we think he is getting wrong.

“Let’s hope this doesn’t knock the case, but if Boris does drop the ball in the same way Theresa May did we will still be there to catch it.

“I may not be in elected politics but I am still going to be around.”

Mr Farage and members of the Brexit Party have been celebrating no longer having to return as members of the European Parliament after the Brexit leave date.

Mr Farage also reflected on his feelings towards the EU in a press conference in Brussels on Wednesday morning.

He said: “The fact is that the entire UK establishment supported continued EU membership.

“This is a victory for grassroots campaigning.
