However, be warned, if you’re playing on draw day, entry closes at 7.30pm, meaning you’ll have to buy your ticket in advance. If you don’t make it in time, your ticket will be entered into the following draw instead.

One fortunate UK ticket holder recently took home a whopping £79million EuroMillions jackpot.

The huge win marked the biggest jackpot of the year so far, with the mystery ticket holder still remaining anonymous.

It comes after a call went out for UK ticket holders to check numbers carefully to see if they had won the big jackpot.

Senior Winners’ Advisor at the National Lottery Andy Carter said: “It is fantastic news that a lucky ticket holder has now claimed this enormous prize.

“We will now focus on supporting the ticket-holder through the process.”

It is a record-breaking win for the UK, and secure the country a spot on the National Lottery Rich List.

The latest win is classed as number 15 on the list of biggest ever wins, and the fifth EuroMillions jackpot winner of 2020.

Despite the huge sum, it comes nowhere near to being the nation’s biggest.

In October last year, one extremely lucky player won £170million, but their identity has never been revealed.

Before that, Colin and Chris Weird from Ayrshire had the biggest win after scooping £161.6million.

If you fancy your chances at becoming a millionaire, the EuroMillions is a simple and straight forward game to play.

You have to pick five numbers from one to 50 and two Lucky Stars from one to 12.

Alternatively, players can opt for a Lucky Dip in which the numbers are randomly selected for you.

Choose to play on draw days, which are Tuesdays and Fridays, or you can play both.

Players can choose to enter up to seven lines of numbers and buy up to 10 slips at a time.

After that, you’re all good to go and all that’s left is to wait and see if you’re a lucky winner.
