EuroMillions has a draw twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, giving players two chances to win big with their slip. Playing the EuroMillions is super simple, and all you have to do is choose five numbers from one to 50 and two Lucky Stars from one to 12. If you’re not keen on the idea of choosing your own numbers, you can try the randomly selected Lucky Dip. After you’ve got your numbers, choose to play on Tuesdays or Fridays – or both – then the number of weeks you would like to play. You can play up to seven lines of numbers and buy up to 10 slips at a time at a cost of £2.50.
The EuroMillions was recently won by builder’s merchant Neil Smart and his wife Sue, who bagged a staggering £1million in a recent draw.
Mr and Mrs Smart said they will use some of their winnings to buy a bigger family car, making their long journeys to a Birmingham hospital more comfortable.
The couple’s son, aged nine, was born with a condition affecting the spine called scoliosis and needs ongoing care and support.
Mr Smart, 50, said: “People have said ‘well done, it couldn’t happen to a nicer family’, that it is nice to see ordinary people win, which is all lovely to hear.
“But the win will make a difference to our whole family for years to come, and that is so important.”
The couple have pledged to make a donation to the Ronald McDonald House charity, a cause very close to their heart.
The charity houses families near to a hospital when their child has been admitted, often far away from home.
Mr Smart said: “They have given me somewhere to stay a couple of times when I have really needed help.
“I want to help them out and give something back – I can’t change the world with what I have, but every little helps.”
Mr Smart and Mrs Smart, 51, didn’t realise they won the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker prize until two days after the draw.
Mr Smart said: “I don’t check religiously and only got around to it on Sunday night.
“When I logged in, I immediately saw a message which said ‘Congratulations you’ve won £1million.

“I called my daughter to read it. We both thought it couldn’t be real, even though it was clearly on the National Lottery app and wasn’t just some random email.
“She posted on our family group chat that Dad had won the National Lottery and Sue came back saying it was probably just a fiver.”
Neither Mr nor Mrs Smart dared to believe they really could have won £1million, and said they had a sleepless night trying to figure out whether or not it was true.
Mr Smart was up early for work, before finally calling National Lottery parent company Camelot at 9am to receive confirmation of the win.
Alongside the donation to Ronal McDonald, the couple said they plan to take the whole family on a cruise when it’s safe to do so.
