A man has pleaded guilty to assaulting Professor Chris Whitty.

Lewis Hughes, 24, was charged after footage showing England’s chief medical officer being accosted in a central London park went viral.

He appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on Friday afternoon where he admitted common assault.
