Emergency services including an air ambulance have rushed to an incident in Maldon, while police officers have sealed off with a cordon a busy roundabout in the area. The services were reportedly responding to an accident outside a Tesco store on Fullbridge.
The bus operator Essex First announced disruptions in routes, as a result of the incident.
With a tweet posted at 6.39pm, they said that “due to an accident on Fullbridge outside Tescos where emergency services are on the scene our service 75 towards Maldon is currently being diverted past Fullbridge via the A414”.
And with a later tweet, they informed commuters that service to Maldon Tesco, Maldon High Street, or Maldon Leisure Centre are also suspended. “Service calls at Travelodge (near Tesco), Then Morrisons,” the operator added.
