Enraged ex-Labour caller ‘DISGUSTED’ with Jeremy Corbyn over ‘CHILDISH’ insult to Queen
Donald Trump is set to visit the UK in June and the Queen invited a plethora of individuals to attend a banquet for the US President. Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn rejected the offer from the Queen and launched a tirade of insults at the President to which one former Labour voter, introduced as Joanne, took great offence to. The LBC caller claimed that Mr Corbyn was behaving “childishly” and needed to “get a grip” as she deemed it very disrespectful to the Queen.
While speaking to LBC host Jacob Rees-Mogg she said: “I am disgusted, I think it is total disrespect to the Queen.
“I am an ex-labour member and ex-labour voter and I think he is childish.
“He’ll meet with the Irish Republican Army (IRA) but won’t meet the leader of the free world.
“Basically I think he is just all wrong.”
Mr Rees-Mogg asked if the caller Joanne felt the same about Vince Cable and his decision to reject the Queen’s invitation.
She replied: “No because he has his own agenda, it is all Brexit and all Remain.
“He has no idea on how the working man thinks.
“I live in a mining town in Yorkshire and I’m turning my back on mainstream politics now.
“They have no idea, they are just in it for themselves.
“I think it is important to remember many a deal is done over dinner.
“I think he should definitely go, 100 percent, I am all for Donald Trump coming and I think people need to get a grip.”
The leader of the Labour Party launched a scathing attack against Mr Trump, saying his policies and “racist and misogynist rhetoric” don’t deserve a “red carpet”
Mr Corbyn said: “Theresa May should not be rolling out the red carpet for a state visit to honour a President who rips up vital international treaties, backs climate change denial and uses racist and misogynist rhetoric.”
Mr Rees Mogg took aim at Mr Corbyn and Liberal Democrat leader Vince Cable for the decision to decline the offer to dine with Mr Trump earlier in the programme.
