This is the shocking moment a man was spotted riding an e-scooter on a major road in London.

Footage filmed on the busy A13 shows the reckless rider dressed in all-dark clothing gliding past vehicles and switching lanes, to motorists’ surprise.

The video, shared on Instagram by the account imjustbait, shows the rider whizzing past lorries and cars travelling at 50mph along the road that links central London with east London and south Essex.

A stunned motorist began filming as the audacious man casually joins traffic going towards London, then rides off into the distance.

A number of social users pointed out how dangerous riding on a major road like that could be, with one person saying the rider must have had a ‘death wish’.

The incident took place on Alfreds Way in Newham around 12.30pm on August 27.

Since then, the video has been widely circulated online, leaving social media users horrified and angered by the footage.
