The book, titled Amalia, will be published in November ahead of Catharina-Amalia’s milestone celebration on December 7. It is a tradition for senior members of the Dutch royal family to support a book, penned to mark their 18th birthday.
Catharina-Amalia, Princess of Orange, is the current heir apparent to the Dutch throne.
She is the oldest child of King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima.
According to Hello Magazine, the book covers Catharina-Amalia’s education, love of music and the future of the Dutch monarchy.
Ms de Breij met the princess several times this summer in order to produce the work.
Catharina-Amalia took the writer and comedian around the Royal Stable Department, to explain her love of horse riding.
In June the future queen graduated from the Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet, in The Hague.
She moved to the UK last month to study at the UWC Atlantic College in Llantwit Major, Wales, for two years.
Also attending the college is Princess Leonor of Spain, aged 15, the oldest daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia.
Both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also been involved in major literary endeavours over the past year.
In June Meghan’s children’s book, The Bench was published.
The work celebrates the “special bond between father and son”, and is dedicated to Prince Harry and the couple’s son Archie.
The book contains many illustrations which note the connection between father and son.

Christian Robinson, an American illustrator, produced the artwork.
In a statement, Meghan explained: “The Bench started as a poem I wrote for my husband on Father’s Day, the month after Archie was born.
“That poem became this story. Christian layered in beautiful and ethereal watercolour illustrations that capture the warmth, joy, and comfort of the relationship between fathers and sons from all walks of life; this representation was particularly important to me, and Christian and I worked closely to depict this special bond through an inclusive lens.
“My hope is that The Bench resonates with every family, no matter the makeup, as much as it does with mine.”
In July it was announced Harry is producing an autobiography for publisher Penguin Random House, expected to be released next year.
The prince is working with JR Moehringer, a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer, to complete the work.
In a press statement about his book, Harry said: “I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become.
“I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.
“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful.”
