Duchess of Cambridge ‘did not enjoy pregnancy’ unlike ‘GLOWING’ Meghan Markle

Kate, Duchess of Cambridge has been praised for the strong bond she has built with all three of her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. But while pregnant the Duchess suffered from severe nausea and vomiting – a condition also known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG). Commentator Emily Nash suggested the acute morning sickness that plagued Kate during the first trimester of each of her pregnancy made it so the Duchess did not “enjoy” being pregnant with her children, unlike “glowing” Meghan Markle.

Speaking to Quest Red, Ms Nash said: “Kate has had tricky pregnancies with all three of her children.

“She had really awful morning sickness, Hyperemesis Gravidarum, which means she was essentially being sick for the first 10 to 12 weeks of each pregnancy.

“Perhaps she didn’t enjoy her pregnancy quite as much when we know her second and third trimester she was fine.”

The chances of developing HG for most women is less than one per cent but chances increase to 15 percent with each pregnancy after the first one in which the mother experienced it.

The severe nausea Kate suffered from forced the Duchess to rush to hospital while pregnant with both Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

While expecting her youngest son, Prince Louis, the Duchess was also forced to pull out from a three-day visit to Finland with husband Prince William.

Hyperemesis Gravidarum can leave sufferers dangerously dehydrated and vomiting up to 30 times a day.

Ms Nash noted Kate’s sister-in-law Meghan Markle, who is expected to deliver any time now, was lucky not to develop the conditions and appeared to be “glowing” throughout her pregnancy.

She continued: “Meghan had no problem in conceiving, she seems to be literally glowing.”

The Duchess of Sussex is due to give birth in April or early May and has now been enjoying maternity leave at her new residence on the Windsor Estate, Frogmore Cottage.

But royal fans may not find out any details about the birth of the royal baby for a while, as Kensington Palace also announced last week Meghan and Prince Harry will be keeping the birth plans private.

A statement from the palace said: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.

“Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.

“The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”

The Duchess’ mother Doria Ragland is due to fly from LA to the UK this month ahead of the birth of her first grandchild.
