Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, who has almost 15 million Instagram followers, shared a picture on social media of him and his friend Badr on the tube. The pair was surrounded by people who had no idea they were standing right next to the Sheikh, who is worth an estimated £330million. The Prince’s trip to the UK with his family and friends last week has been documented on the highly popular Instagram account, on which he is known as “Fazza”.
His followers include football stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba, as well as former England cricket captain Kevin Pietersen.
The Sheikh has been regularly photographed with Ronaldo.
Appearing in the photo on the underground without his traditional robe, Sheikh Hamdan said in the caption: “We’ve got a long way to go and Badr is already bored”.
Many of his followers found it hilarious that no one had realised his identity without his robes.
One commented: “These poor people have no idea with whom they are travelling”.
Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was also spotted joining Sheikh Hamdan on his holiday.
While “Fazza” may well have slipped unnoticed through the London underground, he was less successful on a trip in July.
A viral clip caught the moment an excited mother and son spotted the Prince.
The video was posted by his friend Ahmad Jaber Al Harbi, also followed by Cristiano Ronaldo and Kevin Pietersen. The caption read: “When a Dubai resident spotted @faz3 in London”.
The Dubai Royal has also met Prince William during a tour of the UAE pavilion at Expo2020.
The event was the first World Expo to be hosted in the Arab states.
It was the largest event ever held in the region. Sheikh Hamdan also met Cristiano Ronaldo at the World Expo.
He explored the world’s deepest pool in Dubai with the Manchester United forward.
The pool is 196 feet deep and even features abandoned homes and an arcade. According to his Instagram, after leaving London the Prince then went to Serbia’s capital, Belgrade.
He has been exploring exhibitions and posted a picture of a mural of Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic. Sheikh Hamdan’s last update showed him leaving Belgrade on an aeroplane as he sets off to wherever his next destination may take him.
