Double murder suspect charged after 'cutting his own throat on hideaway barge'
Lee Peacock, 49, has been charged with the murders of Sharon Pickles and Clinton Ashmore in central London.
The murder suspect was reportedly ‘fighting for his life’ after ‘cutting his own throat’ on a barge earlier this week.
He was wanted as a suspect for the murders of two people at homes in Westminster.
Ms Pickles was found at Ashbridge Street at 9.30pm on August 19 after concerns were raised for her welfare.
She was discovered inside with stab wounds to her neck and pronounced dead at the scene.
The following morning, officers were contacted by the London Ambulance Service and attended a second address in nearby Jerome Crescent,.
Mr Ashmore, 59, was found inside with similar injuries and also pronounced dead at the scene.
Peacock, of Harrow Road, west London, was remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, the Metropolitan Police confirmed.
