Speaking to Jeremy Vine on 5 this morning, TV presenter Beverley Turner outlined her frustrations with the pandemics government restrictions one year on from the start of restrictions. As she was sharing her thoughts on panellist Dr Sarah Jarvis prediction of future mutant variants of the bug, the GP shook her head in disagreement. Turner told her to “stop shaking your head at me” before concluding that covid rules have gone far enough given the success of the vaccine.
She said: “I just think its extraordinary when Sarah says things like ‘we could have these mutant variants’ which could derail all of this.
“Based on what? Based on what historical precedent?
“We have gone in one year from being told on this day a year ago we need to flatten the curve.”
As the TV presenter was sharing her thoughts with the panel Dr Sarah Jarvis was shaking her head in disagreement.

Noticing what Jarvis was doing the TV presenter said “don’t shake your head Sarah!”, frustrated with the gloomy attitude of the GP.
The TV presenter continued to express her frustration at the government’s responses to the current covid situation given the number of vulnerable people who have been vaccinated.
She added: “We are now facing a situation of ‘show me your papers’ before you go into the restaurant.

The TV presenter’s comments come as another successful day of vaccinations was recorded.
412,197 new vaccinations were administered in the United Kingdom on Monday.
It pushes the total of vaccinated people over 29 million.
Last week saw record levels of vaccinations.

The U.K. vaccinated a record number of people on Saturday.
Saturday saw 873,784 people vaccinated against the virus which is an astonishing 27 jabs a second.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “A huge thank you to everyone involved.”
He added: “Please come forward to get your jab when you are invited to do so.”
