‘Don’t be RIDICULOUS and don’t be RUDE!’ Tory MP in fiery clash with Remainer radio host
The TalkRADIO host argued Marcus Fysh’s Brexit-backing constituency in Yeovil, South Somerset, is “full of old people” who are “landed gentry with silver spoons in their mouths”. The Tory Brexiteer immediately hit back asking the radio host to refrain from “insulting” his constituents. He said: “First off, I won’t have you insulting my constituents. They are more than just old people. We have a wonderful economy, we have a wonderful military connection.”

As Mr Whale insisted “no one lives” in Mr Fysh’s “empty” constituency, the Tory MP snapped: “Don’t be ridiculous.
“Don’t be ridiculous and don’t be rude.”
The radio host replied: “Quite frankly you’re being rude the way you go on and on about the EU when what you’re doing to the county that I leave in is snarling it up with traffic.”
But Mr Fysh hit back claiming he has done “more than any MP has ever done to make sure that HMRC are well prepared for avoiding that eventuality”.
He added: “Because somebody had to do the right thing and that is why I’ve been to Kent for the last three or four weeks.”
Mr Whale then challenged the Tory MP to a meeting with fellow Tory MP for Tonbridge and Malling in Kent, Tom Tugendhat.
The Brexiteer responded: “I know Tom very well and would be more than happy to do so.
“And I’d be more than happy to show you the letters and correspondence that I’ve been having with HMRC to sort this problem out which the Government wasn’t bothering to until I got involved.
“So, I’m more than happy to help your constituents out. Just don’t abuse mine.”
