Former President Donald Trump left a little girl looking a bit puzzled after signing her hand using a permanent marker.
Trump was at a campaign stop when he approached a metal barricade with fans on the other side. He reached for and shook the hand of the girl, who was sitting on her father’s shoulders, a video shared by the Twitter account PatriotTakes shows.
The ex-president then used a permanent marker to sign the girl’s right hand, as she and her dad watched. The girl sat looking at her signed hand, while Trump shook her father’s hand and they had a brief exchange of words.
Trump continued on to sign another supporter’s white hat.
It was not clear what exactly Trump wrote on the girl’s hand, and whether it was his autograph.
A Twitter user commented that it appeared to be ‘Hi!’, which PatriotTakes agreed could be the case.
It is not the first time that Trump has done it.
In March, Trump signed another young girl’s right hand while sitting at a table at his Mar-a-Lago resort, another video tweeted by PatriotTakes shows. Her mother smiled and laughed as Trump wrote away, and joked, ‘You can never shower again.’
Trump remains the frontrunner for the 2024 Republican nomination. His next campaign rally is slated for Saturday evening in Erie, Pennsylvania, and it will be his first speech in the Keystone State since he announced his candidacy.
