Former President Donald Trump left a little girl looking a bit puzzled after signing her hand with a permanent marker.
Trump was at a campaign stop when he approached a metal barricade with fans behind it. He reached for and shook the hand of the girl, who was sitting on her father’s shoulders, shows a video shared by the Twitter account PatriotTakes.
The ex-president then used a permanent marker to sign the girl’s right hand, as she and her dad watched. The girl sat looking at her signed hand, while Trump shook her father’s hand and they had a brief exchange of words.
Trump then continued on to sign another supporter’s white hat.
It was not clear what exactly Trump wrote on the girl’s hand, and whether it was his autograph.
A Twitter user commented that it appeared to be ‘Hi!’, which PatriotTakes agreed could be the case.
It is not the first time that Trump has done it. PatriotTakes tweeted a video from March of Trump signing another young girl’s right hand while sitting at a table at Mar-a-Lago.
The recent signing was a lighter moment as Trump faces multiple investigations that may not prevent him from running for president, but may affect his bid to return to the White House in 2024.
Trump has continued on the campaign trail despite being criminally charged twice, and facing a potential third indictment.
