Distressing picture shows boy in pyjamas being pulled from Putin bomb wreckage

Harrowing pictures show the body of a 10-year-old boy being pulled from the wreckage of a residential building following a Russian missile strike which killed at least 52 people.

Emergency services were captured removing the body of Tymofii who was killed in the strike which hit central Kharkiv.

He can be seen wearing pyjamas as workers cover him with a blanket.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov said: ‘The child was found under the rubble of a residential building. Unfortunately dead. Condolences to the parents and relatives.’

Images show vehicles and buildings completely destroyed, with wounded people being treated at the scene.

Kharkiv governor Oleh Syniehubov said the body of a six-year-old boy was also killed in the attack which hit busy shops and cafes.

‘Rescuers continue to work on the spot. As of now, the bodies of 48 dead people, including a six-year-old boy, have been recovered from the rubble,’ Syniehubov wrote on Telegram.

‘Six people, including one child, were injured. Doctors are providing them with the necessary assistance.’
