Authorities are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a man in Hastings, in an area of bushes off the A259, near a Debenhams department store.
The suspect has been described as a white, blond man in his late 30s or early 40.
A probe called Operation Teacup has been launched, with witnesses who were in the area on the morning of Sunday, October 24 being asked to come forward.
Yesterday, a heavy police presence — two police cars and four officers from Sussex Police — could be seen in the vicinity of Robertson Terrace, the area of the attack.
Officers said the public should expect to see more of them carrying out enquiries at the scene throughout the investigation.
The victim, whose age and appearance have not been revealed, is being supported by specialist officers.
