Jordan Wyatt’s body was found by the police in the River Exe on Thursday after the dad-of-two went missing on Monday morning. While the frantic police search ended in tragedy, tributes continue to pour in for Jordan and his family. A fundraiser has now been set up for his grieving family to help with the cost of his funeral as well as the care of his children, Mason and Scarlett.
The 31-year-old Exeter man, who was described as “a vibrant and enthusiastic” person, was last seen at around 4am near St David’s Hill in Exeter.
He was reported missing which sparked a huge search operation and involved a police dive team and helicopter.
Writing on the GoFundMe page, Jordan’s family issued a heartbreaking plea to send their beloved husband and father on one “final shift”.
The fundraising page has so far raised an impressive £7,170 at the time of writing, well beating the original £5,000 donation target.

The emotional message from the family read: “This last week many of us have been on a massive journey together to find and bring our Jordan home.
“This tragic situation has brought so many people together and now we are asking for you to assist us one last time.
“We’d like to unite and send Jordan on his final shift and we really need to ask for your support.
“Jordan was a loved guy and the size of his search is testament to this.
“He was a father to Mason and Scarlett, a partner to Kaz, a brother and a loved son.

“He was passionate about his work as a Door Supervisor and Security Guard which allowed him to meet so many people and make so many memories over many years and in different counties.
“He will be so missed by many. Please support us in his final End of Shift where he closes his final doors.
“All funds will go to his funeral and any remainder will go into trust for his children who were his life! Thank you for your support in advance.”
After Jordan’s body was found, his sister Dani posted an emotional tribute on Twitter.

“Until we meet again, I love you. Forever 31.”
ER Global Security – believed to be Jordan’s place of work – paid a touching tribute to “a dear friend and colleague”.
In a statement on Facebook, a spokesperson for ER Global Security wrote: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Jordan Wyatt.
“Jordan was a much-loved member of our team and his sudden departure has left us all in shock and disbelief.
“Jordan was a vibrant and enthusiastic individual who brought a positive energy to the workplace.”
