Both of these figures are a decline from Thursday, when 31,117 new cases and 85 deaths were reported.
A death is counted as coronavirus related if it takes place within 28 days of a positive COVID-19 test.
The number of cases was a significant fall from last Friday, when 36,389 were recorded.
However the number of deaths increased slightly, with only 64 being reported a week ago.
In total Britain has recorded over 5.8 million coronavirus cases, and 129,583 related deaths, since the pandemic began.
