Coronavirus poll: Britons split as Boris prepares to sketch out UK’s exit from coronavirus
Although Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab insisted lockdown will remain for another three weeks, the Prime Minister will set out how the UK will progress towards ending the measures. However, with the pandemic not over in the UK, Express.co.uk asked readers, ‘Is Boris Johnson right to ease lockdown restrictions on Monday?’ In response, 3,551 out of 6,401 voted that relaxing restrictions from Monday would be too early.
A further 2,786 said ‘no’ while 208 said they didn’t know.
One user said: “It’s a fact we have to come out of lockdown because the economy is suffering and if money is not building up the economy through work and production there will not be any money for social benefits.
“If proper measures are properly in place and people abide by them then there is no point in keeping the fit and healthy cooped up at home.”
Another said: “We have missed Boris’s leadership, now he is fully back, its time to back him any which way.”

One said: “He should never have locked it down!”
A second said: “The lockdown should stay in place, people are still dying.

The Government has repeatedly said it will only lift measures as long as the infection rate, or R value remains low.
As revealed by Mr Raab today, the R rate is currently estimated between 0.5-0.9.
Mr Raab also revealed today the Government will target key checkpoints within their strategy in order to relax measures.
