Coronavirus: Mourinho admits he was wrong to hold training session – but fails to apologise

Jose Mourinho has admitted he was wrong to hold a one-on-one training session with a player in a public park despite official restrictions designed to stop the spread of coronavirus.

However, the Tottenham Hotspur manager failed to apologise.

Mourinho was pictured on social media flouting government coronavirus rules by meeting up with midfielder Tanguy Ndombele on Hadley Common on Tuesday, even though they kept to social distancing guidelines.

But while the former Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United boss accepted he should abide by official COVID-19 advice “in order to support our heroes in the NHS and save lives”, he conspicuously passed up the chance to say sorry for not having done so.
