Corbyn is the ‘PROBLEM’ Belgian MEP savages Labour chief as fully to blame for Brexit wait
Mr Lamberts accused the Labour leader of “sitting on the fence” with Brexit and believes the party wouldn’t back a second referendum. Dutch MEP Sophie in ‘t Veld added she thinks voters deserve to know what Mr Corbyn’s stance is. It comes as Labour said they are campaigning for a second referendum.
Speaking to Sky News, Mr Lamberts said: “If there’s a no vote followed by an extension request then which I understand the Prime Minister has to do by law.
“Then there will be time to get a second referendum but for that, you need a majority and frankly when I listen carefully to the Labour party I do not have the impression that they are prepared to throw their weight behind that.
“This is the disingenuity of Jeremy Corbyn who has been actually sitting on the fence for the last three years.
“Without taking a clear stance and he’s as much part of the problem as Boris Johnson is, to be honest.”
Dutch MEP Sophie in ‘t Veld went on to outline the mistake she believes Mr Corbyn is making.
She said: “Jeremy Corbyn is making the same mistake, he is shying away from his stance leaving this indecision to hang over the whole process.
“I think he should be clear about where his party is going.
“Also voters deserve to know that and then we can move forward before there’s talk of a referendum.”
Their comments come as MPs will vote on Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s deal on Saturday in a special meeting in Commons.
The DUP and Labour have said they can’t support the deal and will vote it down while the Brexit Party believe it won’t pass.
Richard Tice detailed all the different types of risks he believes the UK face if they leave with this deal which include regulation, tax and foreign policy.
Speaking to BBC Breakfast, Mr Tice said: “The reality is this deal may have a short term answer to public fatigue.

“But this will turn out to be a historic mistake. We think that there are huge risks in this agreement. There are deep, deep flaws.
“Yes, it’s a little bit better than Theresa May’s worst deal in history but there are huge risks.
“So much faith would be put into the future free trade negotiations the likelihood is we would have a three-year transition period.
“People might be tempted short term but they will regret it.”
