Chichester chaos: Armed police storm centre of cathedral city – public told STAY AWAY
As many as a dozen emergency service vehicles surround the cordoned-off area in the centre of the city, near the Cross monument.
It is not yet clear why the police are at the scene.
Police are advising members of the public to stay away from the affected area, the BBC report.
Officers were called to the area in the early hours of Friday morning.
