Charlotte and Kate have fans in tears as they spot cute ‘mummy moment’
Princess Charlotte’s adorable “shy wave” to crowds just moments after her mother’s has left royal fans insisting the mum-and-daughter duo are a double act. The Princess of Wales smiled and waved to people who had stepped out to see the Royal Family for the Easter Sunday service at Windsor Castle this morning.
Following closely behind her was little Charlotte, seven, who left St George’s Chapel with Princess Kate after the service had taken place.
The youngster wore a blue spring-styled patterned dress, adorned with patterns, and looked to Princess Kate who was waving at spectators. Moments afterwards Charlotte followed with a sweet, albeit “shy” wave of her own.
The Princess of Wales, wearing a blue Catherine Walker coat and matching pill-box hat, was undertaking typical mum duties when leaving, which included holding her daughter’s coat as they walked out together.
Royal fans noticed the mini-me moment with one writing on Twitter: “I love this! A mummy & Charlotte moment… so much love between them it’s palpable.”
Another wrote: “So adorable Princess Charlotte waits for The Princess of Wales to join her. Not without my mummy.”
And a third said: “William and Catherine are doing such a lovely job raising their children. So beautiful to see children show respect to adults.”
They had been among other senior royals, including King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort who had arrived at the grounds of the castle to mark the first Easter Sunday service with Charles being monarch.
The theme of blue set the scene today among royal attendees, with the King and Queen Consort also donning matching royal blue outfits.
The Prince and Princess of Wales were joined by their three children, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and four-year-old Prince Louis.
William and Prince George walked side-by-side wearing matching navy suits while Princess Charlotte held her dad’s hand as they arrived.
For Prince Louis it was his debut as this was the first time he had come to an Easter service – and he was seen wearing a smart suit jacket and light blue shorts.

Among other royal attendees were the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh who arrived with their son James, the Earl of Wessex.
Princess Beatrice came with her husband, Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi along with sister Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank. Mike and Zara Tindall were also spotted with their two daughters Mia and Lena.
The service itself had a poignant undertone for the royal family due to the fact it was the first one without the late Queen Elizabeth II. The chapel is also where the late Queen’s final resting place is.
The late monarch was buried at the small King George VI Memorial Chapel alongside her husband Prince Philip, the late Duke of Edinburgh. Her father George VI and the Queen Mother are also buried there with all their names inscribed in a black stone slab on the floor.
