Prince Harry’s uncle Charles Spencer has broken his silence for the first time since the explosive Meghan and Harry docuseries aired on Netflix. A day after the first three episodes of the series were released, the Earl returned to Twitter and made it clear that for him life is very much business as usual.
Instead of commenting on the episodes, which included footage of Princess Diana’s interview with Panorama in 1995, he posted a video of the grounds at Althorp House.
Delighting fans with the crisp wintry scene at his 13,000 acre estate he captioned the clip: “A winter’s day so crisp, that this morning’s frost remains intact.”
His followers loved seeing the video and some appealed for him to wade in to the feud between Harry and the Royal Family.
Commenting on the video, Tina Wainwright said: “Beautiful house beautiful please help Harry to understand we all feel his pain of losing a wonderful mother so young but I fear he lose dad and William for good.”
While a Twitter user going by the name Umarjun wrote: “Yes it’s all so beautiful. How about condemning your nephew for his disgusting Netflix series and appropriating Diana’s legacy. U do have another nephew, the future King and he needs your support.”
And SuFromLondon wrote: “You need to tell your nephew that his wife is destroying everything that his grandmother worked her whole life for. If he wanted to marry Megan he should have thought it through maturely – you can’t have your cake and eat it! Even if you are a prince.”
Before this tweet, Earl Spencer had last posted on Twitter on Thursday morning, just 20 minutes before the documentary had become available to watch on Netflix.
In the tweet, he shared a photo of a family ornament adorned with a berry and pine cone Christmas wreath, and wrote: “Christmas at Althorp – my great-grandfather, Bobby Spencer, getting into the festive spirit.”
His followers really appreciated the Christmas décor and commended him for his creativity.
Fans were delighted by the sentimental snap and commended Charles for his creative Christmas decor.
The Harry and Meghan Netflix series contains six episodes, with the final three becoming available on the streaming service on Thursday.

The Royal Family are said to be very nervous about the release of the final three parts of the documentary series, which are focused on the Sussexes’ wedding, the birth of their firstborn Archie Harrison in 2019 as well as Meghan and Harry’s decision to quit as senior royals.
Sources fear there is a chance the programme will become even more inflammatory than the first three episodes and will be targeted at the Royal Family. One source told The Times: “Next week will be poison.”
The couple’s first episodes looked at their romance and subsequent engagement and marriage, shedding light on how the couple felt as their lives changed.
They spoke about racism, Meghan’s first impressions of the Royal Family and Harry’s late mother Princess Diana.
