Charles shares new photo of working royals including Kate and William

King Charles has marked the end of his coronation weekend with a new picture of the Royal Family’s working members.

The photograph, taken in the Throne Room of Buckingham Palace, shows the family in the same outfits they wore during Saturday’s ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

It was released alongside a set of other new portraits of the newly crowned King and Queen, all taken by British photographer Hugo Burnand.

His previous royal engagements include taking the official wedding pictures for Charles and Camilla in April 2005, and for William and Kate six years later.

The Buckingham Palace photograph shows 12 of the most senior working royals standing on a set of steps in the northern end of the room.

They include two of the King’s siblings and one of his children.

Prince Andrew and Prince Harry are not in the image, as neither are working members of the Royal Family.

Who’s who in the Throne Room photograph?

From left to right, the people in the picture are:

Prince Edward, Duke of Kent

Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester

Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester

Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, husband of the Princess Royal

Anne, Princess Royal

King Charles III

Queen Camilla

William, Prince of Wales

Catherine, Princess of Wales

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh

Princess Alexandra, the Honourable Lady Ogilvy

Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh

This evening, the King and Queen shared a message sending ‘sincere and heartfelt thanks’ to the people who made the coronation weekend ‘such a special occasion’.

The message continued: ‘We pay particular tribute to the countless people who have given their time and dedication to ensuring that the celebrations in London, Windsor and further afield were as happy, safe and enjoyable as possible.

‘To those who joined in the celebrations – whether at home, at street parties and lunches, or by volunteering in communities – we thank you, each and every one.

‘To know that we have your support and encouragement, and to witness your kindness expressed in so many different ways, has been the greatest possible Coronation gift, as we now rededicate our lives to serving the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and Commonwealth.’
