The Duchess has five grandchildren, two from her son Tom and three from daughter Laura. Appearing on The Reading Room, an organisation she founded to promote literature, the Duchess revealed she loves reading to her grandchildren.
In a short video she commented: “I read to my children and now I read to my grandchildren.
“I love it. I read to them when they were absolutely tiny and they’ve got older and older and older, and now they actually read to me!”
During the video the Duchess is seated on a smart green patterned chair with several books visible on a table behind her.
She is wearing a white shirt and sleeveless dark blue jacket complete with broach.

She said: “A charity which I’m patron of, called Beanstalk, which is a volunteering charity.
“They went to all these schools and they sat down one to one with these pupils and they read to them.
“It’s so important I think to read from an early age.”
