Camilla is suffering from a chest infection which worsened over the past few days, Clarence House revealed.  A Clarence House spokeswoman told Express.co.uk: “The Duchess of Cornwall has been told by her doctor to cancel her engagements owing to a chest infection which has got progressively worse over the last few days.”   

It is understood that the Duchess of Cornwall is deeply disappointed she won’t be able to attend the Field of Remembrance service today. 

Camilla was also forced to pull out from another engagement yesterday night. 

As Vice-Patron, Camilla was scheduled to attend a gala dinner at the London Library to celebrate the 200th birthday of Prince Albert. 

But, due to her health condition, the Duchess was advised to remain home and rest. 

Today’s engagement at Westminster Abbey is particularly close to Camilla’s heart, as she is the Patron of the Poppy Factory, where Remembrance Poppy are made. 

The Duchess’ absence from the Abbey means Harry and Meghan will attend the service alone.
