Camilla has ‘no respect’ for how Meghan handled royal life

Omid Scobie has claimed Queen Camilla had “no respect” for the way Meghan Markle handled herself, despite having “great sympathy” for the Duchess of Sussex.

The revelations came from the royal commentator’s new book, titled Endgame, which delves into the Royal Family and relations within the Firm.

The book has caused a great deal of controversy so far, with Piers Morgan branding it “lies” and calling Scobie a “weasel” in his damning review.

In the book, Scobie discusses Camilla’s relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

In an extract, he said: “As for her relationship with Harry and Meghan, there is none. Camilla has told others she has ‘great sympathy’ for what Meghan went through but, according to a royal source, has ‘no respect for the way they handled themselves’.”

Meanwhile, the book goes on to claim that Camilla’s relationship with Prince William and Princess Kate is thriving, with Scobie claiming they enjoy “laugh filled” lunches together.

Omid Scobie wrote Harry and Meghan’s biography Finding Freedom that detailed the couple’s exit from the Firm.

Scobie claimed Meghan had become the “star of the show” and “the new Diana” after marrying Harry.

Prince Harry has made several comments about his stepmother, including saying he pleaded with his father King Charles to not marry her.

In his autobiography Spare, the Duke of Sussex also said Camilla converted his bedroom into her own personal dressing room as soon as he moved out of their former residence, Clarence House, when he was 28.

Scobie’s book even claims Camilla “thanked” Piers Morgan for his comments about Meghan Markle, which the presenter has fiercely denied.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter called Meghan “Princess Pinocchio” in a column written for the Daily Mail following her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which she claimed the skin colour of her son Archie was questioned by a Royal Family member.

Scobie has alleged the Queen, then Duchess of Cornwall, thanked him for “defending the firm”.

Morgan has hit back about the claims in the book: “He [Scobie] also says that ‘When Piers called the Duchess of Sussex “Pinocchio Princess” and then a “race-baiter” on Good Morning Britain… it was Camilla who quietly thanked him for defending the Firm.’ This, again, is a lie.”
