Camilla ‘can forget she’s Queen’ when King Charles jets off for solo holidays
King Charles often embarks on solo holidays, leaving his wife Queen Camilla behind. While some have questioned whether this is good for a relationship royal expert Jennie Bond suggested it is a key part to the couple’s happy marriage. Last week, the King took a trip to Romania, a much-needed break from a busy few weeks of engagements – and of course, the Coronation last month. While he enjoyed his break away, Camilla is thought to have enjoyed some free time at their home in Wiltshire.

Bond told OK!: “Most couples find that a few days apart strengthens their relationship.
“Queen Camilla can relax in her own way and often chooses to spend her time at Ray Mill House in Wiltshire, pottering around the garden and entertaining her grandchildren.”
She added: “For a few days, at least, she can prehaps forget that she is now the Queen with all the responsibilities that role carries.”
King Charles has frequently enjoyed spending time in Romania, having bought the Blue House there in 2006.
Bond, speaking of his Romanian home, said: “The countryside seemed so untouched by the modern world and it was immediately obvious that it was right up Charles’s street.
“He adores his breaks there away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.”
She added: “He fell in love with the country and bought a house in a remote area of Transylvania and has done a lot for the local community there, such as improving their water supplies.
“The house now has some creature comforts, such as running water and indoor toilets for example, but it is still fairly basic living, surrounded by nature.”

Charles’s visit to Romania last week was his first overseas trip since he was officially crowned.
Historian Dr Tessa Dunlop previously told the Mirror that the King’s “love affair” with Romania is a long-standing one.
Camelia Csiki, who is a royal expert from Romania, said that the King “receives love and admiration that he does not in the UK”.
Charles first visited Romania in 1998, with the King stating last week that he has “always felt rather at home in Romania”.
The King has since wrapped up his visit, travelling home to be reunited with Camilla – who he has been married to since 2005.
