Camilla and Prince Charles share touching pictures to celebrate Queen’s birthday
Charles, 71, and the Duchess of Cornwall, 72, posted four pictures on their Clarence House Twitter and Instagram accounts as they wished the Queen a happy birthday. They said: “Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a very Happy 94th Birthday.”
One of the pictures shows Charles as a baby with the Queen.
Another is of the prince kissing his mother’s hand at a polo match.
The third of Camilla, Charles and the Queen was taken at last year’s Royal Ascot.
And the fourth show the Queen, Charles and Princess Anne at the Braemar Gathering in 2018.
The post prompted a delighted reaction from royal fans.
A Twitter user commented: “What beautiful photos to mark such a special day, and moreover, such a special bond!”
Another wrote: “What a wonderful selection of photos to honor your mum. Happy birthday to Her Majesty The Queen!”
A third said on Instagram: “Happy birthday our wonderful Queen Elizabeth.”
One more added: “Happy birthday to her Majesty the Queen a great woman.”
It comes as the Queen is social distancing at Windsor Castle with Prince Philip, 98, amid the coronavirus pandemic.
A Buckingham Palace source said her birthday will not be marked in any special way.

There will be no gun salutes in what is believed to be a first.
Usually a 21-gun salute is fired by the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery from either Hyde Park or Green Park, followed by a 62-gun salute at the Tower of London by the Honourable Artillery Company.
The source said: ”There will be no gun salutes – Her Majesty was keen that no special measures were put in place to allow gun salutes as she did not feel it appropriate in the current circumstances.”
The bells of Westminster Abbey will also stay silent on her birthday for the first time in more than a decade.

A spokeswoman for the abbey said: “We are unable to ring our bells as the church is currently closed.
“So, it will be a virtual happy birthday this year via the abbey’s social media channels.”
The Queen’s official birthday is celebrated in June with Trooping the Colour.
But the ceremony has been cancelled in its traditional form this year.
It comes as the Royal Family are apart as they follow social distancing rules like the rest of the country.
Charles, who has recovered from coronavirus, and Camilla are at their Birkhall residence in Scotland.
Prince William and Kate are staying at Amner Hall in Norfolk with their three children.
And Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who quit royal duties on March 31, are starting their new life in Los Angeles.
