Exciting reports in the media have picked up on Instagram posts from a swathe of popular accounts, according to Birmingham Live. They suggest the brand the Caramilk – hugely popular in the southern hemisphere – could hit Britain.
The iconic snack is a chocolate bar sold in Australia and New Zealand.
Described online as “a smooth and creamy white chocolate”, Caramilk is a velvety caramel treat.
It was launched in Australia in 1968 but has never been available in stores in the UK.
Now the Instagram accounts, all dedicated to food and drink, have excited fans across the nation.
“Cadbury Caramilk is coming out in the U.K,” reads one post by expert @kevssnackreviews.
Cadbury, which began life in Bournville, Birmingham, admitted it will “see we can do”.
It told Metro: “Caramilk is a Cadbury product enjoyed in other countries around the world. At the moment Caramilk is not available in the UK, but it sounds like Cadbury fans wish it was. We will see what we can do.”
The chocolate company is renowned for its treats like Dairy Milk bars, Twirl bars, Wispa and more.
It is also responsible for huge sharing boxes like Milk Tray and tubs and tins of Miniature Heroes, a classic Christmas staple in many households across the entire country.
Cadbury was established in Birmingham in 1824 but the company fully owned by Mondelez International (originally Kraft Foods).
