Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the property in Burnley yesterday. A man was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital suffering major trauma while a woman was taken by ambulance to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for assessment.
Neighbours had managed to rescue one of the victims.
An aerial ladder platform was used to remove stones from the gable end in a bid to make the house safe.
Motorists have been urged to avoid the area.
