This is so the Queen and her family can carry on as normal while the work goes on.

Some of the events that are crucial to royal protocol, such as Trooping the Colour, are expected to take place this year and cannot for any reason be disturbed.

The Queen has even offered to host Princess Beatrice’s wedding reception at the Palace.

LinkedIn shows that there have already been more then 200 applicants to the job.

The application deadline is February 11, with those thinking about applying to the job urged not to wait.

The renovation comes as the royal household goes through several separate metaphorical renovations.

Last month, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced via an Instagram post that they planned to step away from royal life and live a more independent and private life.

The couple said they planned on splitting their time between the UK and North America, and becoming economically free of public funding.

Now, it has been reported that the pair plan on further splitting their time between Canada and LA, as they look to buy a house on the West Coast on top of the £10million property they currently rent in Vancouver.

Of the potential move, a source told People Magazine: “They love being in Canada, but they are looking at houses in LA too. They’ll likely have houses in both places.”

“They are enjoying living a quiet life. They go for long walks, they do yoga, and Meghan cooks, they are real homebodies who love to chill out with Archie and the dogs.”
