Britain's worst female paedophile back on streets with dyed hair as 'disguise'
Britain’s most notorious female paedophile has been spotted with dyed black hair to stop people recognising her after being released from jail.
Vanessa George, 49, filmed and photographed herself abusing babies and toddlers at Little Ted’s nursery in Plymouth, Devon for an online ring of predators.
The self-styled ‘paedo whore mum’ was jailed for a minimum of seven years in 2009 and was freed in September when the Parole Board said she ‘no longer posed a risk to the public’.
Last week she was pictured out on a shopping trip with much darker hair to the bleach blonde tone shown in her mugshots.
A source told The Sun George had dyed her hair while she was in HMP Send in Surrey to give herself some ‘anonymity’.
They added: ‘When she came out she was so pleased to be out she went straight back to blonde but everyone clocked who she was immediately.
‘She clearly thinks her new hairdo will mean she’s not recognised but she’s not fooling anyone.’
George now reportedly calls herself Hazel and is shunned by residents at her new halfway house believed to be somewhere in the Midlands.
She has even been disowned by members of the family including ex-husband Andrew, who attended protests against her release last year.
He had no idea of the depraved abuse she was inflicting and divorced George while she was in jail.
Andrew said learning of his ‘manipulative’ wife’s abuse made him a ‘broken man’ and was warned by doctors that he might be suffering from PTSD.
Upon news of her release from jail, George’s distraught ex-husband said: ‘While she’ll be returned to society, possibly with a new look and identity, I face a life sentence knowing that for me this nightmare will never disappear.
‘Vanessa is manipulative and she’s like the leopard which never changes its spots. She should have stayed locked-up.’
The mother of one of her victims said her son’s childhood had been ‘totally destroyed’ and continues to wet the bed and have nightmares.
George is thought to have abused as many 64 babies who she filmed and photographed.
She admitted to a total of seven sexual assaults and six counts of distributing and making indecent pictures of children.
The pervert sent child abuse pictures to a gang of five paedophiles including her internet lover Colin Blanchard, the leader of a group of online paedophiles.
The IT consultant from Rochdale was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on December 2009 alongside George and his other online lover Angela Allen, from Bulwell, near Nottingham.
He was given an indeterminate sentence of at least nine years who encouraged other members of the ring, who he never met in person, to take depraved pictures and send them to him.
Following a parole hearing in December, the Parole Board confirmed mother-of-one Allen had been cleared for release.
George reverted to her maiden name Vanessa Sylvia Marks before she became eligible for parole in November 2018.
Strict licencing conditions mean she can’t visit Devon or Cornwall and she is barred from being within 30 metres of a swimming pool.
George has been forbidden from going anywhere near schools, nurseries or children’s playgrounds and officials can order her to take a lie detector test at any time.
