Bridezilla threatens grandma who ‘mistakenly’ posted her dress on social media

A bride has been dubbed “bridezilla” after she threatened to smash her nan’s phone and scream at her after she “mistakenly” posted her wedding dress on Facebook.

Posting on Reddit, the bride said she needed “a little support” after the accident which took place when she went dress shopping with her grandmother, who she describes as a mother figure to her as she no longer talks to her biological mum.

She described her grandma as “my rock for years” but her love would turn to fury when she discovered her gran had changed her Facebook profile picture to a snap of her in the dress the pair had picked together.

It appears the grandmother had attempted to message someone involved in preperations for the big day in order to choose a crown for the outfit, but instead posted it for all to see.

After noticing the mistake, the bride immediately messaged her nan exclaiming “I am on my way to your house right now to scream at you and possibly destroy your phone.”

In her post, the bride said her nan had not had the opportunity to choose a wedding dress with her mother so she “thought it would be a nice thing to do with her” adding she had told everyone at the fitting not to share any pictures they had taken.

She said she was “absolutely crushed” by the dress reveal blooper as the one her nan posted had made her mother-in-law cry when she tried it on and it was likely to be the dress she chose.

The bride says she made six calls to her nan to get her to take it down which were not answered.

After receiving her granddaughter’s furious texts, the nan replied: “I’m so sorry, I was trying to send you the pictures, I don’t know what I did.

“I’m not sure how to take it down, so very sorry. I would not do anything that would hurt you on purpose, please forgive me, I love you.”

The bride replied saying she did not want her nan to attend the wedding describing the mistake as “absolute betrayal”.

Commenters on the Reddit post slammed the bride, with one person saying: “The caption the profile picture had makes it very obvious she was trying to send the bride a note about her wedding apparel.

“I would honestly reconsider the marriage if I was the groom, heartbreaking that nana was treated like that.”
