Brexit Party MEP exposes Boris Johnson’s secret Brexit ploy – It will outrage Brexiteers
Brexit Party MEP and businessman Ben Habib argued that Boris Johnson is using everything in his arsenal to signal to the EU that he is moving towards a no-deal Brexit despite his true intentions. Mr Habib argued that Boris hopes to force the EU to buckle and give in to his demand to agree to a new Brexit deal. He explained on Channel 4 that this could see Boris bring back a withdrawal agreement similar to Theresa May’s, without the backstop which he believes to be a great disservice to Brexiteers across the country.
Channel 4 Host Matt Frei began by saying: “Brexit was all about restoring the sovereignty of Parliament.
“So you must be deeply upset that Parliament has been made irrelevant for 5 weeks.
Mr Habib responded: “Well I think it is a great shame that Boris has chosen a contrivance to try and get his way with whatever his plan is.
“The Remain lot, the MPs in Parliament who are effectively predisposed to Remain have used every trick in the book to try and frustrate Brexit.

“And really to give effect to Brexit it would have been nice to have done it without having to use a contrivance.
“I don’t think what Boris has done today is an abuse of democracy but what he has done is definitely use a contrivance.”
The Channel 4 host then questioned whether Boris Johnson’s actions have made the Brexit Party less relevant as it appears that the Tory party is leaning towards a no-deal Brexit.
Mr Habib shot back: “No not at all.
“I think this contrivance actually tees us up for much greater things to come.
“I don’t think Boris is going for no deal.
“I think he is going for maximum pressure on the European Union, giving all the signals that he is going for no deal.
“But actually what he really wants is have the backstop removed.

“And then I think he is going to bring back the withdrawal agreement back to Parliament for the fourth time.

Ben Habib has admitted that his distrust for Boris Johnson has grown over the few weeks he has been Prime Minister.
He has added that this sentiment is felt throughout the Brexit Party as the fears that the Prime Minister will begin to “backslide” on his initial Brexit promises the closer to the Brexit deadline we move.
