Boy ‘sexually assaulted’ in his own bedroom: New image of suspect released
A new image of a suspect has been released after a young boy said he was sexually assaulted in his bedroom by an intruder.
The Metropolitan Police had previously issued a black-and-white image of the man, and the latest picture was taken at an Underground station close to where the alleged attack took place.
Officers were called to the child’s home in Hillingdon, northwest London, shortly after midnight on 23 November – following reports that a man had gained entry to a property.
The boy said the man had come into his bedroom and assaulted him, but fled when he said he would phone the police.
There was no sign of forced entry to the property.
The boy, whose identity is being protected, is being supported by specially trained officers.
The suspect is described as white and of slim build, with short hair and a beard. He was wearing blue jeans and a T-shirt.
Detective Sergeant David Baldwin said: “This is the second appeal we are making to identify this man in connection with our enquiries.
“I’d like to thank members of the public who have called in so far to help with our investigation, as every piece of information matters.
“We are yet to identify a man we would like to speak to and so hope releasing this further image may help progress enquiries.
“We know the suspect got on an E7 bus prior to the incident before he then boarded an Underground train.”
Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image, or who was in the area at the time, is asked to call police on 101 or contact them via Twitter @MetCC, quoting case number CAD 145/23NOV
