Boy rushed to hospital after being stabbed in broad daylight on bus
A teenage boy has been hospitalised after being stabbed on a London bus in a shocking broad daylight attack. Metropolitan Police officers and paramedics from London Ambulance Service were called to New Kent Road, Elephant and Castle after the 16-year-old was attacked on a Route 63 bus.
A crime scene was put in place following the knife attack, which happened just after 2pm yesterday.
A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at 14:04hrs to reports of a stabbing on a Route 63 bus on New Kent Road, SE1.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the male, aged 16, was taken to hospital for treatment; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 2.03pm today (4 April) to reports of a stabbing on New Kent Road, SE1.
“We sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer to the scene.
“Our first medics arrived in less than five minutes.
“We treated a teenager at the scene before taking them to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
