Boy, 14, dies after ‘incident’ at school despite scramble to save his life
A teenager has died following an incident at a school in Scotland once attended by Lewis Capaldi, police have confirmed.
Police Scotland said officers attended an incident at St Kentigern’s Academy near Bathgate, West Lothian, on Tuesday, June 6, following a “report of concern” for a 14-year-old boy.
Emergency services scrambled to rescue the child, but he died in hospital later that day, the service said in a statement.
A spokesperson said officers arrived at the school at 1.20pm on June 6, with ambulance crews alongside them to attend to the teenager.
They said: “He was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment, but died a short time later.
“His family have been informed and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the death.”
