A young boy is fighting for his life after a horror crash in London.

The 12-year-old was rushed to hospital after being hit by a motorbike yesterday evening.

He was struck while walking on a busy street in Wembley, North West London.

Metropolitan Police has now appealed for anyone with information on the crash, which happened at around 5pm, to contact them.

A spokesperson for the force confirmed that his condition is currently being treated as life-threatening.

They added: ‘The rider of the motorcycle stopped at the scene.

‘Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.

‘No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.’

Officers attended the scene with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

Road closures were put in place, with drivers advised to avoid the area.
