The Daily Mail’s Rebecca English tweeted: “Such a fun engagement with the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall in Clapham, south west London today.

“Charles and Camilla went into the Prince of Wales pub in Clapham Old Town and pulled a pint!

“The prince got the giggles trying to drink it from under his mask.

“Not quite the man on the Clapham Omnibus !

There was a serious point to the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall’s visit to Clapham – encouraging people to shop and eat local.

“1 in 5 small businesses haven’t survived the pandemic and there is 25 p/c drop in footfall. Here they are at the brilliant Trinity restaurant.

“The Prince of Wales is crammed with electric items from around the world – and the Prince was chuffed to see a Toby Jug of his late father, the Duke of Edinburgh. And also noticed a picture of his great uncle, Edward VIII.
