Boris Johnson RIPS APART Corbyn: ‘He would ruin this economy and the NHS’

In a heated session of Prime Minister’s Questions, the Labour leader called on Boris Johnson to explain why the waiting time for treatment for cancer patients in the UK has “tripled” in the last nine years, whilst accusing him of selling the NHS out to American corporations. Mr Corbyn said: “Whilst the Government is having secret meetings with US corporations, it’s patients here that continue to suffer. Can the Prime Minister explain why the number of people waiting for cancer treatment has tripled over the last nine years?”

But the Prime Minister immediately hit back, lashing out at the Labour leader’s “phobia” of American companies.

He said: “This Government is investing £34 billion into the NHS.

“We are seeing improvements in cancer survival rates across the country thanks to the investments this Government is making.

“I think it’s absolutely satyrical that Jeremy Corbyn should claim credit for getting drugs delivered at a reasonable price.

“That is the work of the UK Government, the work of the NHS ensuring people in this country get affordable treatment.

“He may not be aware of this but Vertex comes from America.

“Is he seriously suggesting that the NHS should not engage in negotiations to ensure that British patients get the drugs they deserve?

“Is he so phobic of American companies that he would forbid them of having those discussions?”
