Boris Johnson girlfriend: Will Boris Johnson marry Carrie Symonds after divorce approved?

Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his estranged wife, Marina Wheeler, separated two years ago in 2018, announcing they would divorce after 25 years of marriage. Ms Wheeler, 54, is the second wife of Mr Johnson, 55, and they have four children.

On Tuesday, Judge Sarah Gibbons oversaw a private hearing in the Central Family Court in London which saw the former couple reach a financial agreement.

The case number showed the two had been involved in a dispute relating to money or assets.

The case was listed as Wheeler v Johnson and listing showed that Ms Wheeler had begun litigation and made an application.

Judge Gibbons approved a written consent order, and gave Ms Wheeler the go-ahead to apply for a divorce decree which would bring the marriage to an end – a Decree Absolute.

Neither Mr Johnson nor Ms Wheeler were at the hearing but both were represented by barristers.

Will Boris Johnson marry Carrie Symonds next?

Mr Johnson and Ms Wheeler are not divorced yet, so he cannot remarry just yet.

Once it’s finalised, however, the couple will be free to marry if they wish.

Mr Johnson and Ms Symonds are said to have been dating since 2019.

They are the first non-married couple ever to live together in Number 10.

Mr Johnson was coy when asked about the subject last year, telling reporters that marriage speculation was “a tiny bit premature”.
