Body found in hunt for missing woman after two men charged with murder
Police investigating the murder of a missing woman have revealed they have found a body.
Julia Rawson, 42, has not been seen since she was spotted walking near to her home in Dudley, West Midlands, more then two months ago.
She vanished after the last sighting on May 12 and on May 27, two men were charged with her murder.
Specialist officers from West Midlands Police today confirmed they found a body in Tipton, West Midlands, on June 12 following a search.
Formal identification of the body is taking place and a post-mortem examination will be held in due course, police said.
Julia’s family have been kept up to date with the development.
A cordon has been in place at an entrance to a field just off of Coneygre Road on the Coneygre Industrial Estate in Tipton, where a bunch of flowers has now been placed.
Nathan Maynard-Ellis, 28, of Mission Drive, Tipton, was initially arrested on suspicion of kidnap but has now been charged with murder.
David Leesley, 23, of Dereton Close, Russells Hall, West Midlands, was held on suspicion of assisting an offender but was later rearrested and charged with murder.
They both remain remanded in custody.
