Organisers of the anti-racist protests due to go ahead at 1pm on Saturday said it must be postponed because “many hate groups” are threatening the safety of the thousands planning to rally. It comes after Tommy Robinson and far-right groups revealed their plans to host counter protests on the same day. 

Black Lives Matter organisers in London said: “We want the protests to be a safe space for people to attend.

“However, we don’t think it will be possible with people like them present.”
