Beautiful UK beach you’ve never heard of where you might be the only tourist
A beautiful UK beach which you’ve probably never heard of is so quiet that you might just be the only tourist.
Coldingham Sands is a “lovely, quiet” beach which at this chilly time of the year is visited by just a few, fans of the Scottish beauty spot have said.
A sheltered spot at the mouth of the Buskin Burn in the Scottish Borders, Coldingham Sands stretches for a kilometre along Coldingham Bay in Berwickshire.
Situated within the St Abbs and Eyemouth Voluntary Marine Reserve, the beach is bookended by rocky shores where children can enjoy searching for hermit crabs among the rockpools. A good place to catch the early morning sun due to its eastwards facing position, there are beach huts to the north and Homeli Knoll to the south from where there are excellent views, according to thebeachguide.co.uk
The beach is a popular spot during warmer spells, but at this time of year you may find yourself among a small number of people walking across the sand there.

“And it deserves to be – it’s got great sand and is a stunning location.”
Fellow Tripadvisor reviewer, Fiona R, said of the place: “Love it. Such a beautiful beach with a nice cafe, friendly staff & dog friendly. Lovely ice cream & even ones for your furry friend…”
