‘BBC is the ENEMY!’ Nigel Farage furious over ‘ridiculous’ Marr showdown

The Brexit Party leader was quizzed by BBC host Andrew Marr on what he thought about global warming, Vladimir Putin and the NHS during his interview on the show. Outraged by the questions Mr Farage said he had never seen an interview more “ridiculous” in his life. Mr Farage told PoliticsHome: “The BBC are now the enemy.”

After being asked about gun regulations being scaled back and the NHS – Mr Farage responded with anger.

He said: “Here we are with one of the biggest changes in politics that has ever occurred and your re not even interested! What is wrong with the BBC?

“I’ve been going around the country speaking at packed rallies every night and do you know who is not there? The BBC.

“And with this line of questioning I can see why. You are just not interested are you?

“Let’s talk about democracy, let’s talk about trust, let’s talk about competence in politics, this is ludicrous.”

In a shock poll released Sunday – Mr Farage is predicted to win 49 seats in the general election.

He is also on course to win European Parliament votes with the Brexit Party having 27 percent support in comparison to 25 percent for Labour and 13 percent for the Tories.

During the interview Andrew Marr questioned Mr Farage on his views about HIV entering Britain.

Mr Farage replied: “Do I think the National Health Service is there for British people, yes I absolutely do.”

He added: “You are not prepared to talk about what is going on in this country today.

“You are in denial. The BBC is in denial. The Tory and Labour parties are in denial.

“I think you are in for a bigger surprise on Thursday week than you can even imagine.”

Following questions about Vladimir Putin, Mr Marr said he was trying to explore where the Brexit Party was going as they look to try and demolish the two-party system in Britain.

Mr Farage said: “You haven’t asked about a single other member of the Brexit Party.

“You haven’t commented on the fact that we have the most diverse list of candidates of any party fighting in this election.”

The interview ended with Mr Farage shaking his head as Mr Marr thanked him for being on the show.
