Baby Archie first birthday: What have Meghan and Harry planned for Archie’s birthday?

Baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor was born on May 6, 2019, and christened exactly two months after. Archie is seventh in line to throne and is the youngest great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II, as well Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first child together. The young royal was revealed to have been born at London’s Portland Hospital following the release of his birth certificate.

What have Meghan and Harry planned for Archie’s first birthday?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to scale-down their original plans for their son’s first birthday in light of the ongoing pandemic.

Originally, the couple had planned to take Archie to Scotland to spend time with his great-grandmother, the Queen, and picnic together on her Balmoral estate.

Although a face-to-face meeting is no longer possible, it is understood the duo will FaceTime with the Queen instead.

To be on the safe side, the birthday celebrations will now just involve the three of them and they plan to make animal-lover Archie some animal-themed cupcakes in celebration, reports The Sun.

The book, written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, is understood to explain the Duke and Duchess’s lives in the Royal Family and the subsequent decisions they have taken – like the one to step down as senior royals.

The book promises to “reveal unknown details of Harry and Meghan’s lives together” as “few know the true story” of the couple.

Publishers of the book, Harper Collins, say that it goes beyond the headlines, “dispelling the many rumours and misconceptions which have plagued the couple on both sides of the pond”.

The book is expected to be “an honest, up-close and disarming portrait of a confident, influential, and forward-thinking couple who are unafraid to break with tradition, determined to create a new path away from the spotlight, and dedicated to building a humanitarian legacy that will make a profound difference in the world”.

Both writers have unique access and the book has been written with the participation of the couple’s closest friends and loved ones.

Of their book, Mr Scobie and Ms Durand said: “The aim of this book is to portray the real Harry and Meghan, a couple who continue to inspire many around the world through their humanitarian and charitable work but are often inaccurately portrayed.

“Our mission has been motivated by a desire to tell an accurate version of their journey and finally present the truth of misreported stories that have become gospel simply because of the amount of times they have been repeated.

“It is thanks to our sources that we have been able to share the definitive story of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
