Ashley Cole’s brother dismisses claims ex-England ace chased Meghan Markle – ‘Nonsense!’
However, the Champions League winner’s brother Matty Cole has dismissed the claims. Reports claimed Meghan had been followed by the Duchess who attempted to court her. Mr Cole told The Sun: “It’s nonsense, completely made up.
“He definitely wouldn’t have to beg Meghan Markle for a date.
“She’s not the kind of girl he goes for anyway, and he’s never fancied her.”
The Mail on Sunday’s Showbusiness editor Katie Hind recently wrote about meeting the then actress in 2013.
Meghan was then a star in Suits and Ms Hind claimed her publicist wanted to make her a big name in Britain.
Ms Hind claimed Meghan asked her about the footballer.
The journalist had covered his divorce to pop star Cheryl so says she did did the “sisterly” thing and that “that night, as Meghan worked to secure coverage in a national newspaper, I saved her from the fate of becoming Mr Cole’s girlfriend”.
The footballer retired from football this summer after a short spell with Derby County, who he joined in January following a three season spell at LA Galaxy.
Harry and Meghan began their relationship in 2016.
They were married in May last year.
This May, they welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
All three went on a royal trip to South Africa in September.
Harry travelled separately to Angola, Malawi and Botswana.

The Sussex’s are understood to be building a retreat in Botswana.
Royal sources have claimed Harry and Meghan are attempting to learn Setswana, which is spoken alongside English in the country.
It also has official status in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
A source told The Daily Mirror: “They would love to build a traditional bush lodge, constructed by locals, bringing work and trade to the land.
“There has also been talk of a local school being built as well.
“Most importantly they want somewhere where they have complete privacy and will not be disturbed.”
Speaking about Botswana, Harry once said: “This is where I feel more like myself than anywhere else in the world.”
Harry is sixth in the line of succession and Archie is seventh.
At birth, Harry was third but has been pushed down by the births of his his nephews and niece.
